A new year - a new employment role

I find the term “job” to be very loaded. Regardless, after 10+ years of referring to my “day job” as Graphic Designer, I am now (according to my business card) a “Social Media Specialist”. Well, I did spend 10 years as an “on-Air Personality” … commonly called a Radio Announcer. The mediums are surprisingly similar, everyone starting is nervous, your audience wants to be “edu-tained” and management want to make money from it. Sorry, see an ROI (Return On Investment). And why not, working in radio was all about “playing music between the ads” (sorry kids) so, why not!?!

Loving my new role and the challenges/rewards it provides. This is gonna be fun!

Landed safely in Newark airport … Gr8 view of NYC during the landing.

Starting to think I should had paid the extra dosh for an exit seat. Still traveling in “budget backpacker mode” after all these years …

Why do travelers line-up for a plane before boarding is called? Are they afraid they’ll miss it? #RandomAirportThoughts
